Chase’s beginning in the field of physical fitness started with his involvement in sports. From a young age, he excelled in martial arts. He earned his black belt at age 13, under the great Grandmaster Roy Kurban. By age 15 he had won state championships and achieved a national ranking. The next step was to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.
However, before taking advantage of this great opportunity, Chase’s life started to unravel, and he lost his discipline and desire to train. The trauma he had gone through as an adolescent and the breakup of his family through divorce started to really impact his functioning and behavior. Without the structure of martial arts, he began doing poorly in school and started hanging around with the wrong crowd. He was partying, getting into fights and floating through life with no sense of direction. By age 16 he’d been kicked out of every school he attended and ended up in a juvenile detention center.
While in the detention center, Chase experienced the tough consequences of his poor decisions. He was constantly threatened, bullied and beaten up. He was targeted partly for being small and appearing weak—at 150 pounds, he was outsized by the other youth, who seemed to Chase like grown adults. Paralyzed with fear and feelings of helplessness, he found it difficult to defend himself utilizing his martial arts skills. It was in this place of adversity that he made the decision he would not be a victim. This was where Chase was going to become strong, and become a leader. Thus his quest began to build his strength as a means to effectively defend himself. Every day as he did pushups, pullups, sit-ups, and squats he would envision himself as stronger, bigger, faster, and more powerful. When he was released from the detention center he was able to return to a charter school and earn his high school diploma. From that point on, he knew his life’s purpose.
That purpose is to teach others the same discipline that allowed him to go from powerless to powerful, from recklessness to discipline. Seventeen years later, he’d gone from a 150-pound juvenile delinquent to a 230-pound professional bodybuilding champion. While the transformation to his physique during this time was significant, Chase believes the mental strength and self-control he developed in pursuit of his goals were more profound.
After graduating he submerged himself into learning about anatomy, physiology, nutrition, competing, and coaching other athletes, and obtained every certification he could. He landed numerous fitness modeling jobs and was published on over 20 book covers with fitness industry-leading photographers Eric Battershell and Jason Ellis.
Chase began competing and acquiring championship titles throughout the National Physique Committee and national-level rankings. In 2019 he won the Classic Physique division at the Caribbean Grand Prix Bermuda, and secured his professional status in the world’s most prestigious league, The International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) home to bodybuilding and Hollywood icons Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno.
After competing as a professional, Chase made the decision to retire from bodybuilding. He wanted to impact as many lives as he could with the knowledge and skills he’d acquired. He embarked on putting together a team of highly-skilled and experienced professional trainers who share his passion for changing lives through best-in-class training. Most of the trainers have a degree in kinesiology or exercise science.

TRAINER
I started training in college in 2014. Immediately I knew that training was what I wanted to pursue once I graduated. I moved back to Arlington in 2015 and began training at 24 hour fitness in Grand Prairie. In the year I was at 24-hour fitness I became one of the top trainers and knew this was my calling.
I moved over to Momentum Fitness the day the doors opened in May 2015 and haven't looked back. I love being in this position to help others because it’s an opportunity to share my knowledge as a Professional. There is no better feeling than to help someone push beyond their limitation and achieve things they once thought they never possibly could.
I meet people where they are in life and push them to become a better version of themselves, leading by example is one thing I take pride in and that bleeds into my training style. I believe firmly that in order to transform you must first change your mindset. Applied knowledge along with consistency over time will take you to the destination of your dreams.
Master Trainer
Owner and Creator of JWALK Fitness. Fitness has been a way of life for me since my childhood. I developed a passion for it when I began lifting weights with my Dad at age 13 at 24 Hour Fitness and have stuck to that discipline ever since.
I played Collegiate Basketball at SMU, then went on to attend Dallas Baptist University. My experience with this level of athletics really taught me the importance of staying in peak physical condition but what I found that It did for my mental strength showed me what my purpose was in life. I graduated Cum Laude from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Shortly after I began as a personal trainer at 24-hour fitness where I quickly became a top producing trainer. As I grew I realized I really wanted to create my own brand of fitness.
This decision led me to finding my home at Momentum Fitness, where JWALK Fitness the brand and philosophy could really come alive. The philosophy behind JWALK fitness is “Life and fitness go hand in hand. If you have the discipline to regularly exercise, eat a balanced diet, and take that same intensity into your mental game by continuing your education constantly, you will be well equipped to deal with any stressors life inevitably will throw your way! Along training my own athletes and clients I practice what I preach by competing in the NPC (National Physique Committee). I have acquired numerous titles as a Physique champion and am now on a quest to obtaining Professional status. I lead by example.
I enjoy training everyone, however athletes with a serious goal or individuals who are in dire need to lose weight due to health concerns are my favorite, because they have a purpose for their mission and know exactly what they need to do. Every day I strive to challenge my clients mentally and physically through each and every session inside and outside of the gym.

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.”
- David K.
ANOTHER SUPERSTAR TRAINER
For 15 years, I stayed home and worked as a part-time Pre-K teacher to keep busy, but mainly focused on raising my babies. I was drawn to make a change in career paths because fitness has become a way of life for me, and I love helping others achieve their goals.
Growing up, I was in every sport, but cheerleading and gymnastics were my main focus. Through these activities, I learned discipline and developed valuable habits that remain instrumental in my life today. Making fitness a priority at an early age is essential (but it's never too late to start!), so I want to encourage the youth to train and learn some of my techniques in hopes they see that fitness can be fun.
For the last 2 years I have been a Professional trainer & team member at Momentum Fitness! I could not be more pleased with this fantastic company and team I work with daily. I look forward to helping children and adults reach their maximum potential by being leader in their fitness journey to ultimately create their greatest self.
I am incredibly passionate about helping anyone with extreme weight loss goals because I have lost almost 100 pounds and have firsthand knowledge of the challenges that come with the process. That doesn't mean I will be a softie or go easy on you! But I will be able to truly empathize with the ups and downs you experience because I have been in your shoes and found victory .
"Your body can stand almost anything. It's your mind you have to convince."
– Candice Rutledge
Trainer
I was involved in sports my entire life but excelled in track and field. I had a passion for camaraderie, training, and technique. I was committed to becoming the best athlete I could be as well as helping those around me. This followed me throughout college and into my early coaching years. While in college, I was fascinated and fell in love with the human body and had a desire to learn how it moved and functioned. Soon after I started applying the knowledge to myself and others.
I became a certified personal trainer and began coaching classes at 24 Hour Fitness and various recreational centers across the city of Arlington. Along with personal training in Fort Worth. Being able to express my passion and knowledge for people and help change their life fills me with excitement every day.
In my years of class coaching and one on one training my goal has remained the same; to push and educate individuals to become a better version of themselves through consistency, healthy habits, movement, philosophy, nutrition, and discipline. I’m a firm believer in challenge creates change and I plan to help my clients create that change at Momentum.
